Our holding organization, the ring of German Au Pair Mediators (RDAV), has organized an au pair meeting in Berlin from 19 till 21 September 2003 in cooperation with its member agencies.
Numerous of au pairs of our agency were represented at this big event this year.
Over 100 au pairs from 28 nations could get to know our federal capital at a glorious day.
The visit of the German Reichstag which presented itself to the au pairs with its impressive architecture and its history was one of the great highlights.

With a 3-hour sightseeing tour wider stages of the German history were on the spot and explained to the au pairs.
During the sightseeing tour we had smaller inspection breaks on which the au pairs had the possibility of staying at the castle Charlottenburg, the Berlin Wall, at the Brandenburg Gate and the memory church for some time. After a very exhausting day excursion we went back directly to the center (station zoological garden) situated hotel where the au pairs had the possibility of holding individual conversations with their agency heads.
By the personal contact to their agency the au pairs have got the feeling not to be alone in Germany.

Following the motto “We are not in Berlin to sleep” the au pairs, consisting of large and small groups from quite different nations, threw themselves into the Berlin nightlife. Of course, discos, bars, beer gardens etc. were high in the course with the young people.
For the au pairs the memory surely remains on one of the most beautiful moments of their au pair time in Germany.
All au pairs made many new international acquaintances which are still cared for hopefully a long time after the au pair year, too.

The success and the pleasure of the young people confirmed us out as agency to arrange furthermore such meetings with our holding organization and motivates us at our daily arrangement work.

The next appointment for the au pair meeting in Paris is from 9 April to 12 April 2004.
